Cecilia Cruz Villares

Occupational therapist, Master in Mental Health and family therapist by the Instituto Familiae/SP, and certified in the Open Dialogue approach by the Institute for Dialogic Practice of New York. At the Noos Institute, she is on the board of directors and coordinates clinical activities and the Certificate in Dialogical Approaches and Open Dialogues in Mental Health. Also since 2020, she is part of the faculty and coordinates trainings in Dialogical Practice/Open Dialogues in Latin America, Portugal and Spain. With 35 years of experience in clinical, teaching and supervision, she worked in the Department of Psychiatry of the Federal University of São Paulo from 1984 to 2017, in teaching activities in the Specialization Course in Occupational Therapy in Mental Health, in the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health and in PROESQ – Schizophrenia Program of Unifesp. At the Familiae Institute/São Paulo, she coordinated the Module “Family and Mental Disorder” in the Training Course in Family and Couple Therapy, between 2008 and 2013.
